"I first met Randy at the age of 19 while playing for the Stouffville Spirit. At the time my knowledge of strength and conditioning was limited to say the least. I never realized how increasing my strength and bettering my conditioning could translate to better results on the ice. Randy's personality and his love for what he does is infectious. I quickly found myself very interested in the field of strength and conditioning. Like many kids when I began my university career I had little idea about which direction I should pursue academically. After seeing Randy's love and dedication to his craft first hand I was determined to complete a kinesiology degree. Having the ability to help people live healthier lives or take an athlete’s potential to the next level is something Randy takes very seriously and I wanted to experience the same satisfaction. Randy has helped me further my hockey career through my physical fitness not to mention rehab some very serious injuries that I have unfortunately encountered along the way.

Randy is always preaching hard work and his honesty and friendship are something that I value very much. I think any serious athlete is looking for any advantage they can gain over the competition, I consider Randy to be that advantage. The workouts and camaraderie I feel at Bodysmith are one of a kind and I am extremely thankful for all Randy has done for me. Ultimately, the decision to work hard must be made by the athlete but Randy has an incredible amount of knowledge and has had proven results with many athletes from all sports. You can't control how skilled you are but you can control your level of fitness. Randy has helped me achieve levels of physical fitness I didn't think possible and I will be forever grateful to him for all his help and encouragement."

I had the pleasure of meeting Randy in 2002 when he took on the role of off-ice trainer for my hockey team, the Stouffville Spirit Jr. A., that was a big year in my life as I was getting interest of scouts from teams in the NCAA, OHL and NHL. I had realized there was a future ahead for me in hockey and Randy was there to show me skill can only take you so far. I began working out at Bodysmith and that's when I noticed the improvement in my game. Randy helped me gain a solid work ethic and the knowledge of how my off-ice training is a reflection of my noticeable improvement on the ice. This included a schedule of weight lifting for strength, quick feet and agility drills to improve my speed and balance and a series of sprints/dryland techniques for cardio and endurance. In addition to the daily workouts, Randy taught me the importance of nutrition. In order to go hard every day, a proper diet was necessary to keep a high energy level and build muscle mass.

Through the years Randy was not only a trainer but a good friend. For someone that is serious about training, Bodysmith gives you the atmosphere to get the maximum out of your workouts. I appreciate everything Randy has done for me and I will continue to tackle any workout regiment he throws at me for years to come.

Working out with Randy has helped me bring my physical fitness to a new high. I started working out hard with Randy after my final year of Junior "A" and I have put on 30lbs of muscle, but at the same time I have increased my explosiveness and aerobic capacity. Randy's approach to working out is a very rewarding one. Seeing the results makes it a fun and enjoyable experience. My dream is to one day play in the National Hockey League and I strongly feel that working out with Randy will help me realize that dream.

I am the head coach of the Markham-Stouffville Midget "AA" Girls hockey team.  Our team can to "BODYSMITH" for the first time in October 2004.

After approximately 3 months of training with Randy, there was big improvement, by our players, in strength, quickness and endurance.

The players continued with the program, implemented by Randy, for the duration of the season. By the end of the season our team was recognized as one top 5 Midget "A" Girls hockey teams in the province of Ontario.

The coaches, parents & players were so impressed with the results that the players had made in training with Randy that our team has already booked a full year of training at BODYSMITH for the 2005 - 2006 season.

Thank you for teaching and training our players last season. I am really looking forward to having my team train with you again this season.

Randy understands the importance of an intense and balanced program when training athletes for university competition. The program he devised for the McMaster Men's Volleyball program was sport-specific, which is always essential for attaining team success. Our athletes saw a dramatic improvement in muscle strength as well as endurance. Not only did Randy provide a great training program but included a full set of various speed and agility drills. He truly knows that an athlete's success is not only made up of what you do in the weight room but is also how you train those muscles to react.

Injuries are an unfortunate part of high level competition. For the few athletes that did experience injuries they surprisingly found their recovery time reduced. The preparation of the athlete's body due to Randy's program helped to keep their time on the sideline to a minimum.

Each athlete on Randy's program saw a marked improvement in strength, quickness, reaction time and endurance. The amount of work put forth by the athletes to complete each training session was also a factor in building team chemistry. The sessions were designed for elite competition and were always challenging and demanded the best from each player both in focus and effort. I believe Randy's extensive experience and knowledge allows him to tailor specific training programs for a team's maximum success.
