READ WHAT OUR BODYSMITH ATHLETES HAD TO SAY
DANA COOKE"Randy understands the importance of an intense and balanced program when training athletes for university competition. The program he devised for the McMaster Men's Volleyball program was sport-specific, which is always essential for attaining team success. Our athletes saw a dramatic improvement in muscle strength as well as endurance. Not only did Randy provide a great training program but included a full set of various speed and agility drills. He truly knows that an athlete's success is not only made up of what you do in the weight room but is also how you train those muscles to react. Injuries are an unfortunate part of high level competition. For the few athletes that did experience injuries they surprisingly found their recovery time reduced. The preparation of the athlete's body due to Randy's program helped to keep their time on the sideline to a minimum. Each athlete on Randy's program saw a marked improvement in strength, quickness, reaction time and endurance. The amount of work put forth by the athletes to complete each training session was also a factor in building team chemistry. The sessions were designed for elite competition and were always challenging and demanded the best from each player both in focus and effort. I believe Randy's extensive experience and knowledge allows him to tailor specific training programs for a team's maximum success." Head Coach McMaster Men's Volleyball Team Hamilton, Ontario ROBYN LAW"Randy provides an edge that every elite athlete is looking for; with his help I was able to overcome an injury that required six months of inactivity. Upon returning to hockey I found that I was playing just as I was prior to the injury if not even better! " University of Maine NCAA Division I Women's Hockey |

"Randy's professional knowledge and experience training elite athletes allowed him to fully understand the dynamics of my sport. He put together a customized training program that included running hills, weights, plyometrics and using the balance ball to strengthen my core muscles. His no-nonsense attitude and continuous encouragement motivated me to reach new levels in my sport and with my training - both physically and mentally. I have never worked out so hard in my life! The training was intense, but the results were profound! Not only was I in the best shape of my life, but my performance during competitions went from mid-ranking to consistently ranking in the top 10. Training with Randy also gave me the courage to try new tricks. I knew my body had the strength and flexibility to recover from any hard falls. Randy takes a genuine interest in all of his athletes and is committed to their success, both from a training and performance perspective. I recommend Randy 110%. He is a great trainer, coach and dear friend. I couldn't have done it without him! Thank you Randy for all your support! " Canadian Champion Snowboarding Team 1st Woman's Halfpipe Ontario Provincial Championship 1st Women's Continental Open September 2005 JANE CARRICK"When I was first introduced to Bodysmith, my sons were at the right age to start a proper conditioning/strength program. With the level of hockey they were playing I knew it was important to build their strength to improve their skill as well as injury prevention. At the age of 40 I knew I had to start taking my own health more seriously, I never had a weight problem but over the years I gradually put on a few pounds and I had been feeling less energetic. I approached Randy to start a program that would help me to obtain my goals. It had been just over a year now when I began working with Randy, not only have I reached my goals, I have learned so much about fitness and nutrition. Now that hockey season is back, I am amazed at how much my sons have improved, their balance and strength is notably stronger. I can’t thank Bodysmith enough for the successes our family has achieved. More and more we are learning the importance of health and fitness to prevent injuries and diseases; this is a life long lifestyle, not just a temporary challenge." September 2005 |
